I got it down to two choices. Should i get the MTX 9500 12" or the FI BTL 12" but NOT FULLY LOADED (no options at all). Again im looking for pure SPL. They are both around the same price, so what should i choose? I tried looking for similar threads, but i couldnt find any that wanted the BTL12 with no options like i do. everyone else was comparing it to the fully loaded btl.
the sub would be powered by a Rockford Fosgate T10001bd, which is 1000rms. So would the BTL still be louder even though it is being underpowered? I would eventually upgrade my amp in the future though.
On that kind of power, I'm gonna guess the MTX would be louder. BTL would need more power.
Plus, I think the MTX 9500 only comes in single and dual 4 ohm, so you won't be able to get full power out of that Rockford amp. A loaded BL (dual 2 ohm) would be a better choice off that kind of power.
for the maximum SPL you should park your car near the meter at the competition, and then blow the pipe bombs under the driver and passenger seat i can rig up for you!! that sh1t would be at least 150dbs!!
