Ok for one got a brand new set of CDT HD-62 essence sittin around waiting to get put in my car. SO im going to buy an amp for them and my two choices are American BAss SQ 580 {125 watts x2 @ 4 ohm) or the kicker zx650.4 (120 x 4 2 4 ohm OR 325 x 2 @ 4 ohm bridged.... american bass is 140$ shipped and kicker is $175. i mean i kno american bass makes exceptioinal amps but kicker is is a very good company also i think its a no brainer im leaning towards kicker what do you think...
2nd thing is im looking for a nice EQ that will improve SQ greatly... i was looking at an eclipse that turns any signal into 8 volt automatically... it was around $250 but thats a bit pricey for me...any one know of a good eq...
i got excellent sq off of a 2 volt alpine head unit, but that is just me. i believe that properly set up crossovers and slope make for an excellent sq environment much more so than a high preout voltage (IMO of course).
i'm running an elemental designs nine.2x for my CDT's up front and it works very well. i get strong powerful midbass and smooth response all around. Also at $150 shipped the price is very nice also.
iwas thinking about tht amp how does tht one compare to the ones i have listed up there i really like the kicker in case on day i decide i want to add a bit of rear fill i got the 4 channels.... i have a crappy jensen flip out now...

No, its more than that, a CORRECT opinion. Something you don't see often here. lol.
EQs that "boost" RCA voltage provide zero benefit. The signal is only as good as the lower voltage it started as. And all a higher voltage does it reduce noise.
