Bronze Member Username: Squatch1009Post Number: 12 Registered: Dec-08 | I just got my AQ1200D in today and I was reading the manual and it said to use 0 gauge wiring to power it. I have 4 gauge in my car right now, is 4 gauge gunna give it enough power to work to its potential? I have an 02 Ford Mustang by the way, not exactly sure what kind of alternator I have though. |

It's not about giving power, it's about delivering it safely. You want a gauge wire that won't heat up excessively because of the small size. Even a small wire will deliver a large current briefly before it fails. Kinda like a fuse. You DON'T want to size your wire like a fuse lol. Bigger is better baby. |
