hello i got a converted pansat 2500
I got a big dish there is 2 single LNB
1 is centered and i tape it HALF INCH in right side of the center LNB when facing the dish.my aim was to get 110/119 , so i check in the signal i got 110 and 119.
Im watching tv for few months already
i just noticed the chanel for 110/119 in my satelite is the same and i dont have channel 455 for ppv.but in my signal theres 110 and 119 is strong signal.
MY QUESTION IS IT IS POSSIBLE THAT EVEN IN MY BOX PANSAT CONVERTED 2500 119 HAS A STRONG SIGNAL iM GETTING THE 110 CHANNELS? I HEARD THAT 119 IS LITTLE HIGHER THAN 110 AND ABOUT HALF TO INCHES.
WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD.

you have a disecq switch installed? the correct settings in the antenna settings menu that match how it is connected to the disecq switch? example: disecq 1=119 2=110?
look at the ant settings for 110, you should have signal on TP 12224
now look at 119 (echo 7), you should have no signal for TP 12224, BUT u should for 12239
u are prolly not aimed right.
search here for "poor mans dish" as that is what u have and u can find pics.

dantetn thanks for the reply
I already got the 119/110
but the problem is 110 has a strong signal 90% quality and level
the 119 has only level 78% but the quality only reaches to 53% and going back and fort to 40%
and when i watched the 119 channels some part of the picture is missing. but some chanel i can watch clearly but every 10 minutes it goes black and come back and make squeeze sound
i got a poormans set up.
what i did i attached the lnb of 119 to 110 and i put a piece of wood about half inches thick to create separation.
because someone told me to do that because i got a big dish.
what do you think is the problem

Great answer dantetn.
When I have this problem it is usually a poorly aimed dish or Lnb.

Dormy, Just because you have strong signal and quality does not mean that you are switching between 110, and 119. Checking the signals as dantetn has suggested will help you narrow down your problem to not switching or dish alingment.

I think it is the alignment of your 119 LNB. Rain and snow will effect the piece of wood and tape. Finding a more secure way to mount your 2nd LNB should solve your problem.

my first problem before is solve i got 119 and 110 channels
my problem now is 119 is very weak signal it only goe to 52% and the 110 is 90%
so when i watched tv in 119 channels some pictures are missing but in 110 is perfect clear

I still believe it is an alignment problem.

Where are you located?

check ur TP like dantetn said deafult setting for 110 is 12224 but the actual setting for 119 is 12239 if ur not using a diseq switch select none and your LNB should be set to standard and sw legacy none. in the setting s if your aim right this should work

I am talking about skew. If I am reading correctly, your dish does not rotate. In this case your second LNB when looking from behind your dish should be slightly lower.

Domy check the dish skew.
De Montreal, tu dois avoir le LNB 110W plus bas que le 119w.
From Montreal you must have the 110W LNB lower than 119W.

Ahhh do you have 110 lnb centered? if so switch the cables and have the 110 lnb lower. you will have to rotate the dish slightly.

Too cold to do this tonight. Wait until the sun is warm and post your results. You will be satisfied.

If you have 2 inch higher, your problem is there.

You must have - + 1 inch

"""plymouth

The best for you is : put the 119W in center and fix the 110W on this one because the 119W is far and you lose signal when you are not in perfect center spot of the dish.(as for Rico picture)

Rico your picture is for west user, the 110w LNB must be lower.

That is what I would do. In my experience 110 has been a stronger signal and easier to pick up skewed. As the pictures shows 119 in the middle of the dish works for me.

I don't have this problem with my 2 motorized dishes, always perfect.

If you live in extreme West that is not a problem.

I see that in the picture and it is confusing and I apologize. But the text in red does say "lower for east coast"

If it is your first motor installation, wait because you will play on the roof for the day.
