300 HO alternator?

I run 1600 easy...but before the up grade ... i mean stock ... i could not go over 2200 before cliping on my amp. any thoghts would be helpful.

A 300 amp alternator can supprt quite a big demand with a good battery to go with it. More than 2200w.
