It is based off the signal strength that your head unit sends to the amplifier. http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/general-discussion/audio-video-electronics/1 65526-amplifier-gain-setting-tutorial.html Also make sure to have your EQ set to flat, all BBE and Bass boost off. If you want to use that bass knob, attatch it to the amp before setting the gain, set it to max and the gain to minimum and then set the gain. This way you will not increase the gain and cause the amplifier to clip. |
