Co-axial split help

New member Username: Ratna1234Post Number: 8 Registered: Feb-09 | Hello Plymouth/Nalin, I have this DPP 44 switch(4X4) from DISH satellite. I have some channels with them. I recently brought a viewsat reciever...can I use co-axial splitter to connect to 2 recievers? or do I need another switch? or do I need 2 coaxial cable running down from my roof(DPP44)? Thanks |

My plan is something like this: -->The coaxial cable wire from dish is now connected to dish receiver and I get couple of Indian channels. -->When I connect the coaxial cable to viewsat, I can watch channels from 118 119 and 110 I want to use a 2-way splitter to connect to Dish Receiver and Viewsat so I can change the input source on TV remote to watch both(indian on dish and american on viewsat) alternatively. ....right now when I connect them individually..they are working fine. I brought one splitter from CC ..but I just figured out that to get satellte signals..I should have atleast 2.4GHz splitter...any thoughts? Thanks in advance |

Gold Member Username: PlymouthCanada Post Number: 7985 Registered: Jan-08 | Ratna On back panel of your viewsat you have a Loop output, put the dish cable in the input of Viewsat and output Loop to your DN receiver. Try it before buy a splitter, it can work. |

Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York Citay in-HD, NY Post Number: 4107 Registered: Oct-06 | DP44 yo don't need a splitter if setup correctly Yo can run a second coax wire for second receiver DP44 can supply 2 receivers Yo can also use 2 DISEqC switches if yo still got problems  If yo can't reach the DP44 for a second coax Then yo can split signal but yo have to share polarities - For example yo may leave unused receiver on any Vertical polarity and the second receiver can tune to any channel - Yo don't have to turn off one receiver instead yo tune it to any Vertical polarity channel - Its what I call polarity sharing This is jow to split a satellite signal But yo can split it inside the house if easier for yo Click here: https://www.ecoustics.com/cgi-bin/bbs/show.pl?tpc=2&post=1496579#POST1496579 |

Ex: if you have a receiver down and you use another which is up, if you use a subscribing receiver and a Free to air receiver on same TV and want only one cable. |
