Where is the best place to ground my amp in my F-150. Right now cicuit city has it ground to the metal, just between the seat and the door! I am getting alot of interferance in my sub when the truck runs. I can hear the engine in my speaker, Has anyone ever heard of this before?? will a groung loop help?
HU is good I had 2 amps hooked up for 5 years with no problem. This new amp is somehow i think hooked up the ground in a way that i can hear the altanator running in my sub? have you ever heard of such a thing? what can I do to solve this problem? And I did have cicuit city hook up my previous amp. the did a crap job i must say
I'm betting it's not the ground point, but to make sure, test the gound point with a continuity meter/test probe. also make sure the amp's gain isn't set too high. Chances are that you have the gain too high and it's causing feedback. That's a more common cause of this noise and most CC/BB installers are n00bs
