Hello all, I'm new to this whole satellite TV thing...my husband downloaded the new file for the channels...but all my favorite TV stations are missing...no SciFi channel, no Travel Channel, no HGTV, and no Food Network! I'm sure there may be others missing, but those are the ones I noticed. Are they gone because we don't have the High Definition converter box? These channels and more are all missing from our Comcast cable, and when I called they informed me that they were doing city by city HD transition, and that I would need to purchase a converter box and switch up to a more costly package to get those channels back...so I was hoping to get them through our satellite TV access.
My receiver is a Cool*sat 5000 Platinum.
What can we do...is anyone else having the same issue? Is there hope?
On my Pansat 2500 converted, some of the files give me both 110 & 119 but other ones I only get the 110. The blind scan will pick up all the stations but the 119's are scrambled.
I haven't been able to figure this out. The last time I got both working was the, I think, 296 file.
