Every time I turn on my Nfusion Nova since the last download it checks for some safety device, says safety failed... device not detected. Does anyone know what device it is looking for? Sounds rather ominous! Thanks
The new 1.50 bin from the Update Server is for Nova/NuvenioSD/Solaris It has a solaris/nova security test function. The Test Function is directed towards the Novas that may be Clones that is why it has been called the Clone Killer!!
An easy way to find out if it is a clone: 1) If your serial number starts with H0812NF, OR 2) If the Power cord that comes out of the base is rounded instead of rectangular
If it is not a clone, 1. Do a factory and reset the box from the back, (turn unit off then back on.) 2. Upgrade through the Cat5 cable. 3. Remove cat5 cable from unit. 4. Re-insert the cat5 cable. 5. Rescan channels.
If the receiver is a clone or if file is giving you all kinds of issues than just go back to file 1.49.4 or 1.49.6 because they are known to work, so if you don't want all these issues than do a Flash of U27 and then go back to these files.
yep .. don't worry about it dave, its that there are lots of clone out there b.c nfusion is doing well, thats why they created solaris model, and they will discontinue selling nova (but that doesn't mean that support will discontinue for nova model. support will remain in place, there are more than 100k nova's out there,so they can't do that..
