what would be the best 15" sub for spl for under 300.. i been planning on goin for the 15" pdx 2xl but decided to check with what you guys would recomend.. i would also use it for daily use in a different box in a 01 grand cherokee.. i already have a xa1500 and a kinetik 1800 under the hood.. i don't plan on upgrading my amp wich is why i thought the 2xl would be good and then i can add a second one.. but still have enough power to compete..i do a 143 db drag style with 1 12" 2xl and 146 mic on passng. floor driver window open.. so i'm sure a 15" would be much better... what would you guys go for?? i just finished looking at the hdc3 (copper) if that would fit

Those are damn good numbers from that PB. I thought they optimized those to be a sealed SQ sub that gets pretty loud?

Look for used DD's or a TC 5200 maybe but I dunno about under $300.

ya i tried but didn't have any luck.. ya man they were build to sound really good in sealed boxes but i tried it in about .75 cf and i wasn't impessed... the site resomends like 1.25.. i would have to try it out..thats a good thing about these... u can do things like a fiberglass box and not have to make it huge and stuggle trying to port it or else the sub sound like sh!t... honestly im REALLY impressed with these little PDs.. i've done a 148 with 2 12" 2xls but i think i can do more now.. just goota get up off my azz and build a new box

You can make your current sub louder keep working with it. Buying a new sub may not give the results your hoping for. Or you could buy my mmats juggernaut 12 I believe a guy with your same vehicle did a 147 db sealed on the dash at 47 hz with about 2400 watts.

can alphas play low??.. i'd rather get a working sub.. i'm not use i would even go for one of these other used ones.. well i guess if an ecoustics member is selling it then its safe... i mostly just compete in db drag.. and like i said i would still stay in street b with the 2 12s until i can afford to get the 2nd 15 and then jump up to street c.. but in usaci id be in 0-600

D how much are you willing to pay for the juggernaut because its about 60 for the recone to a 15. And with shipping were already talking 100 right there.

Idk if you've checked or not but ficaraudio.com has their subs which seem to be used in a lot of SPL designs that ive seen, im not sure if the newer models run under 300 bucks but some of the older models seem to run about that

the american bass xfl is really good. i have seen some really high numbers with them around my area. they can handle a lot more than 1k rms too.
hdc3s are nice but i forgot how much they cost.
either way i know a guy that can beat any online price and can hook u up with FI, american bass or almost anything. can't get AQ though unless its straight from DJ

thanks for all the help guys but i've waisted your time.. i just got a new car yesterday and now i can't afford a new sub so i'll just have to use my mojo in the new tahoe now.. (
i wasn't to happy with the mojo).. but i have the onstar in the tahoe and don't car for it... can i put a h/u in the tahoe with just the regular $12 harness. or do i have to get the expensive one
