I'm wanting to get two 12" subs probably FI SSD's, but i'm not sure what options to get on the FI website? I mainly listen to rap and rock, and am looking for sql. I plan on going ported, probably to 33Hz (w/ a fishercustoms box). I plan on getting a Sundown SAE1000. With this being my first set-up, I just want to make sure that i'm getting the best stuff possible. I already have a hu and speakers, i just need some subs. I'm open to other subs, but would like to stay w/ the sundown amp as I already have one and am really happy with it. Altogether, I'd like to stay below 1000$. Any advice wold be great! thanks

fully load it, it wont hurt and they will be easier to sell in the future. If u plan on keeping. since you are running two amps, get the dual 2 ohm, flatwind, bp power

sounds like a solid first system. the guys from Fi would probably be more than happy to give you advice on what options you should include, and box specs.

so you want to run 2 SSD's on a single SAE1000? is your other sundown for the highs or you already have a 1000d and just looking for a second? sry just tryin to clear things up because with only one SAE1000 you would be underpowering the subs quite a bit...

Goodie- My other amp is a sundown 100.2 for my speakers, so the 1000d would be just for the subs. I've heard that 1000 watts is a good stopping point for stock electrical, and don't want to get a h/o alt. or do too much up-grading.

Whipgame-I plan on keeping the subs for a while, so probably wouldn't sell them.

I did talk to a guy at FI and he said that two SSD's would be louder than one 15 Q, so that's why i was going to go w/ the SSD's.

thanks for all of the responses!

good call on stopping at 1000 rms for your electrical but i dont think that would be enough power for 2 SSD's rated at 800rms a piece(just a guess as i have no experience with FI products)

would you consider different subs that you could get the full potential out of? i would imagin that to be better overall...

I'm open to whatever subs. I just settled on FI from what i've read on here, they seem like good products and a decent price. But if there's something better, than please let me know.

would the classics be better than an SI BM? They have packages at low-hz for both, but the SI one comes w/ a fishercustoms box.
