I have 2 MJ18ms and yesterday i noticed it wasnt geting low as it used too, I noticed it yesterday night around 1 am and it was freezing cold it was ice on my roof, and I had to tug at the door to open it

I played songs that would shake the entire car and it just wont do it.

I had to put sub out to 15 (max on my alpine) to get it to do anything like it used to I normally have it at 8

whats going on

Is my amp dying or what?

cant be my ears, becuse I can feel my system

lol, that was of no help.
but as mentioned, check your coils res. Also maybe your power is down due to running headlights/heater ect?

And doesnt hurt to check your ground.

Alternator and battery output both drop in cold temperatures. Perhaps the amp was not getting enough power.

subwoofers, as a fad, are getting old. and apparently so are your subwoofers. buy a new set ever 3 months to keep them fresh, and the stores in business.

haha

I'm still going with my alt/batt prediction. For the first time this year it was so cold my HU display wouldn't operate and my alt was doing less at idle than everything was drawing, and my windows were frozen shut..... ain't winter fun in the northeast.

Umm guys..... they rate batteries in CA (cranking amps) and CCA (cold cranking amps) for a reason. The cold rating is lower.

Also the reason a lot of cars from canada have battery heaters....so the battery doesnt get to cold to start the car.
