Gold Member Username: Big_edge_headMilwaukee, Wisconsin Post Number: 2966 Registered: Mar-07 | I remember reading on SSA that the 1200D was going to replace the 1500, but that was quite a while ago. I emailed Jacob and I'll post his response when I receive it. |

It has a thicker heatsink to dispense more heat. Doubt it's much of a difference though as they run cool as it is. |

They are two different lines that come from two different build houses. The SAE-1200D will do close to if not more then 1500 watts, Jacob did a number of tests showing the wattage. To expand on what Canaan said, the SAE-1200D is not meant to be stable or handle below 1ohm like the SAZ-1500D can, or meant to handle 17volts like the SAZ-1500D can. From recent discussions with Jacob and what he has mentioned on SSA, the SAZ-1500D will hang around longer then expected as it is still very popular and a competitor favorite. The SAZ-2000D is in testing and will make an appearance sometime next year if I remember correctly. There are plans for larger and smaller SAE models too. |

We will continue offering the SAZ-1500D as long as it remains a strong seller. I expect that the SAE-1200D will gain quite a bit of popularity and eventually push down SAZ-1500D sales, though." |
