Bronze Member Username: MeyerlanskyNYCUSA Post Number: 42 Registered: Nov-07 | Guys, I am thankful to have renewed support from Norw. I dug up my cs5000 from the shallow grave in my backyard and put in the new bin181. Nothing doing. Do I need to do a factory reset first? Or was that only for the 180 bin? Also, since I last used cs5000 succesfuly I have moved and upgraded to HD service. Will this affect my old cs5000 from working properly? Thanks in advance. Go vote tommorow!!!!!!!!!!! |

Bronze Member Username: MeyerlanskyNYCUSA Post Number: 43 Registered: Nov-07 | Thanks Nalin and Valinex. I did a reset but nothing. Is there an actual cs5000 factory file I need to install now? I cant find it on dsstester. Where is a good place to look? Also, no matter what, i cannot get any signal strength or quality over 5%! Since i moved to my house. I get HD package from DN. I reconnect the line to my cs5000 and get no signal quality over 5%. What the hell? Is it that they are using diffent type of line or because the line is spliced as it enters the house? That shouldntmake a difference should it? Maybe its just a matter of finding and installing the factry file? Thanks guys. |

Is there any other site or does anyone have it and can put the link here? My box seems to be in a coma since I did the factory reset. Bronze Member Username: MeyerlanskyNYCUSA Post Number: 45 Registered: Nov-07 | Nice. Thanks alot Not Today and Nalin. I appreciate it! I hope it works. I guess I install that into my box then reinstall the 181 (hopefully before it stops working) and then reset all my setting right? Hey, I am just having fun with this stuff. Hope to become expert at it like you guys. Thanks. |
Bronze Member Username: MeyerlanskyNYCUSA Post Number: 47 Registered: Nov-07 | Nalin and Not Today, thanks guys, my old cs5000 is running. Now to figure out how to get the international/desi channels. The DN guy put the international dish on my roof so I should get it but I dont know how to link that dish to my box. I'll read the manual! Something about LBN switches? Anyhow, Thanks! |

Platinum Member Username: NydasPost Number: 12929 Registered: Jun-06 | When CS6000 was manufactured there was no ANIK 3. Use AniK 1 slate or any other convenient unused slate. If you have CB2008 or similar Digiwave special Anik 3 LNB and 33" Dish LNB type: Universal 2 or Standard. LNB Freq.: 10750 or 10600 First TP 11715 If you have Dishpro 500+ or 1000+ and special LNB LNB type: DSC-DP LNB Freq.: High 10750 Low 9750 First TP 11715 Then do Blind scan or all scan. Note that the Dishpro 500+ or 1000+ has a 30" Dish 5" wider than the Dishpro 500 and 1000 Dishes. |
