Hi I am new with Nfusion HD I am not sure why I am unable to connect to the web. Here is what I have done:
1. I can see the ip address in network
2. I can ping it from my laptop(wireless)
3. I have rebooted the router and nfusion.

Every time i try to check the sw version it say "Failed"

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks again.

Does it have the correct subnet mask and gateway? If these settings aren't correct then communication from your STB won't make it past your router.

Hi Jason and Sada thanks for replying...

The subnet mask is incorrect but everything else is ok. It has the right default gateway and DNS. I tried to do the static ip but that didnt work and for some reason it is not picking the right subnet mask.

Sada: i am not sure how will unpluging my router will help??

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to fix this Thanks again.

So put in the correct subnet mask. It probably should be "255.255.255.0". This will be under the DHCP server area on your router setup.

Give me you IP addy (your "private" addy, NOT your public one on your router) and I'll tell you your settings. Make sure NOT to give me the public one, or else "they" will be able to find you. Private addies start with 10. or 192.

Moha, you can hide your IP using the proxy setting. Be warned, though, that this setting can slow down channel switching even more (unless you can find a non-overloaded proxy server). It's very difficult for DN or B3v to find your IP without the proxy, so I wouldn't bother; the proxy setting is there just for the paranoids.

Moha, also be aware that the nvision update server might NOT contain the latest bin. Your best bet is to manually upload 081014_nova_v148_3.bin
