I am going to run 2 JL 10W3V3 4ohm subs to one JL 500/1 amp. I know by doing this the ohms reduce to 2. Will this cause the amp to work harder than normal? Do you think the amp might get too hot? I hear a lot of good and bad things about bridging. Looking for opinions on whether I should run single or multi amp setup.
Oh, ok. So bridging is only for mutli cahnnel amps. Got it, thanx for the help M.S. So, I will still be at 4ohms with this setup. Nothing will change. That's great. Once again thanks.
If you have two 4 ohm speakers you need to wire them in parallel, which makes a 2 ohm final load. Which is fine for that amp. Slash series amps are regulated, the impedance makes no difference as long as its within the 1.5-4 ohm range.
