Will your amp cut out if you don't have the right fuse for the power wire? It is recommended that I use a 150A ANL type w/ 4awg wire. I currently use a 60A fuse with 4awg wire. This is for a Kicker KX800.4.
You should use the reccomended fuse size for sure as your amp can use, up to 150a and when it tries to go above 60a it is straining becuase your fuse is bottle necking it.
If your amp uses more power than what the fuse can handle it will pop, it's a safety measure.
It's an easy enough fix to change the fuse out to the proper size to see if it fixes your problem, should take 10 mins tops.
