Got a problem with error

hu: pioneer 780mp

it gave me this error today while i was cruisin around. the HU has been skippin a lot lately and it finally stop playin the cd and gave me "error-12"??

any help?

have you tried pushing the reset button on the hu?

nope.. should i try that?

i turn it off and then turn it back on and its back to normal but it keeps coming back a few minutes later when the bass hits hard.

it won't hurt to try. it will reset your hu so you have to re do all your settings again.

also you might want to get a lens cleaner and give it a clean. maybe some dust got in there and its making it hard to read the disc. i assume the radio and other things work right?

yeah everything else is workin. this is the only thing giving me a problem.

where do i reset it?

look on the front of the hu. there should little button flushed in to the face. you would need to use a pen or something sharp to push it.
