New member Username: IndicaproNunya buzz, Cali USA Post Number: 1 Registered: Aug-08 | id takeyour alt. and have it re-wound by a local alternator specialist itshouldnt costyou over 250 bucks. as a stinger alt. built for systems are really expensive like in the 700-100 dollar range. you dont need a capacitor, they are even harder on the charging system, instead get an additional battey for the trunk and also replace the underhood one with the same type that you are using in the trunk. id say you want at least a 150 amp alternator. so if you have itre-wound tell the man what amperage you want from it. yes that is a hell of an amp look for batteries with at least 140 researve capacity and 1000 cca. really and trully, stiffening capacitor's are murder on a charging system thatis already having trouble keeping the voltage up to par, and an extra battery in the trunk (or 2.lol) acts like a stiffening cap. whereas it has juice ready at hand to send tothat amp on demand. |
