A number of variations of DiSEqC exist:

* DiSEqC 1.0, which allows switching between up to 4 satellite sources
* DiSEqC 1.1, which allows switching between up to 16 sources
* DiSEqC 1.2, which allows switching between up to 16 sources
* DiSEqC 2.0, which adds bi-directional communications to DiSEqC 1.0
* DiSEqC 2.1, which adds bi-directional communications to DiSEqC 1.1
* DiSEqC 2.2, which adds bi-directional communications to DiSEqC 1.2

Digiwave Model DGS- SW81X 8x1 DiSEqC Switch. Connect up to 8 sats to one receiver with this high quality switch. This Multiprotocol programmable switch works with any receiver that supports DiSEqC 1.1 and above. Set your switch setting to uncommitted, or program each LNB as a motor position in your receiver menu.
TECHNICAL FAQs
Q. Any suggestions on how to use the 8x1 switch?
A. This switch is not compatible with all receivers. Here are two ways to use the switch:
1) DiSEqC 1.1 which allows you to change switch settings uncommitted in the menu, opening up 8 ports.
2) Program "fake" motor positions using USLAS so that each sat is set to a motor position to do the switching.
Models that do support DiSEqC 1.1 include the Traxis DBS3500, most Coolsats and Fortecs including CS5000, CS6000,and Fortec Mercury II.
Another way is:
In the Antenna Settings choose the first satellite you want to program in eg Echo 7. Enter the usual settings for the lnb type, frequency, etc.

For Diseqc enter "None" and for Motor choose "On" and then "User". Once in the "User" option you need to either tab left or right till Echo 7 comes in at the top right of the screen and you see the Quality indicator light up. You then tab up to save this setting and then move to the next satellite eg Echo 8 and do the same thing.

Once you have all your satellites set up, exit and make sure you save where prompted.

I found that tabbing left or right bore no relationship with the satellites actual position in the sky. Eg I would tab left and find 110 then 91 and then back to 110 and I would go in a continual loop between 110 and 91. By tabbing right another satellite would come up and with luck it will be the one you looking for. Eventually you will find them all.

For legacy duals you have to run 2 cables, one for each polarity. For dp lnbs you could use just one cable to the 13V port.

sat (A,B) is diseqc 1, 22kzh off, standard lnb
sat (C,D) is diseqc 2, 22kzh off, standard lnb
sat (E,F) is diseqc 3, 22kzh on, standard lnb
sat (G,H) is diseqc 4, 22kzh on, standard lnb
Q.How to set-up 8x1 switch?
A.Use Raw commands:

Uncommitted CMD 0 raw command E0 10 39 F0
Uncommitted CMD 1 raw command E0 10 39 F1
Uncommitted CMD 2 raw command E0 10 39 F2
Uncommitted CMD 3 raw command E0 10 39 F3
Uncommitted CMD 4 raw command E0 10 39 F4
Uncommitted CMD 5 raw command E0 10 39 F5
Uncommitted CMD 6 raw command E0 10 39 F6
Uncommitted CMD 7 raw command E0 10 39 F7

0 to 7 = 8 ports

For diseqc switch select "None", dd all the satellites you want, they will show as if attached to one LNB, add the proper raw diseqc command for each satellite.
Q. How to set-up 8x1 switch with C00LSAT 6000?
A.Change settings on C00LSAT 6000 to diseqc 1.0/1.1.

82 committed 1
uncom 1
91 committed 1
uncom 4
110 committed 1
uncom 2
119 committed 1
uncom 3
123 committed 1
uncom 5.
etc., ''

With Pansat 2700 and conversions, you have a DisEqC 1.1 setting with 15 port option.
