I have this sub:

Audiobahn 1208Q 12" Subwoofer
12" 1500 WATTS RMS POWER, 3000 watts max
DUAL 2 OHM VOICE COIL NE
1/4 OHM OPERATION

Should I power it at 1ohm or 4ohm? Id rather just buy a monoblock amp to power it at 1ohm. Is this a good idea?

What WATTAGE do I need from a monoblock amp? Specs on amps dont list what RMS power is at 1ohm, so Im confused.

For example, would this amp power it:

DO NOT BY BOSS.
they are cheap and don't put out near what they are rated at.
what is your price range?

you can wire it down to 1ohm on a mono amp but don't get an amp rated over 1500w rms @ 1ohm cause audiobahn subs are known to FRY

Something such as an Audioque AQ1200D would work. I would suggest finding a better sub though. To be very frank, that Audiobahn sounds like complete crap compared to anything else on the market. All you're purchasing is a fake chrome f@rt machine. If you would like some suggestions of where to go for a QUALITY subwoofer, let me know and I'd be happy to help.
