New member Username: Pirate92Post Number: 6 Registered: Sep-07 | I have 2 VS Ultra. I tried using 2-way splitter from RadioShack Frequency Range 40-2150 MHZ, but if i turn one receiver, second looses the signal. Whats the best 2-way splitter you recommend ? |
Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3341 Registered: Oct-06 | Well That splitter is as good as yo can split any high frequency - Yo can't split a signal and do 2 different polarities at same time - Yo can watch 2 differnt channels on same polarity - Or turn off one receiver while watching the other Best way to split a signal is to use dual LNB This is a great section if yo got time read it and come back to ask questions https://www.ecoustics.com/cgi-bin/bbs/show.pl?tpc=2&post=1496579#POST1496579 |

New member Username: Pirate92Post Number: 8 Registered: Sep-07 | Hello King: I have a dp34 and viewsat 4x1 DiSEdC switch. Is it possible to use both of these switches to connect 2 receivers to 4 LNB pointing to ( Echo 3, 7, 8 & Nimiq 1.2 ) ? Please advice. Thanks. |
Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3344 Registered: Oct-06 | If all yo want 2 receivers and up to 4 satellites This might be yor best choice: Keep in mind each LNB must be dual output Sat-1 to port-1 on both DISEqC switch Sat-2 to port-2 on both DISEqC switch Sat-3 to port-3 on both DISEqC switch Sat-4 to port-4 on both DISEqC switch 2 receivers, 4 satellite simple wiring |
New member Username: Pirate92Post Number: 9 Registered: Sep-07 | My 110 and 119 are dual LNB with one connection and 61.5 and Nimiq 1.2 are single LNB. So i have 3 dishes. 1. Dual LNB dish 500 ( 110 & 119 ) 2. Single LNB 61.5 3. Single LNB Nimiq 1.2 so total 4 wires connecting to VIEWSAT 4x1 DiSEqC Switch. So based on this how can i make 2 receivers work ? |
Gold Member Username: Cartier1Post Number: 1984 Registered: Feb-07 | using dp34 u only get a max of 3 satelitte and using up to 4 receivers. and 1 condition all lnb's are dp. your only solution is 2 x 4x1diseqc and all your lnb's are dual . |

New member Username: Pirate92Post Number: 10 Registered: Sep-07 | can i put a splitter between LNB and VIEWSAT 4x1 DiSEqC Switch. will that work ? |
Gold Member Username: Cartier1Post Number: 1986 Registered: Feb-07 | i dont understand what you wanna say . dont think tooooooooooooooo much . dont complicate life . you can not split a signal perioddddddddddddddddddddddddd. it;s has 13V^ 18V ,DONT THINK OF SATE SIGNAL SAME WAY YOU THINK OF CABLE GOING TO A TV. EACH LNB OUT PUT GOES TO 1 SWITCH TO 1 RECEIVER PERIOD / |

Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3346 Registered: Oct-06 | "can i put a splitter between LNB and VIEWSAT 4x1 DiSEqC Switch." Answer is yes But won't be able to watch 2 different channels on 2 receivers from same satellite As an example Let's say yo got 61W, 91W, 110W, 119W If 61W is single LNB but all other satellites are dual LNBs Then it worth splitting 61W as it maybe enough to watch other sats thru 2 different DISEqC but will limit yo watch 61W on both receivers at same time But yo want run to any problems if all LNBs are dual, wire to DISEqC switch like above diagram and yo'll be all set |
Gold Member Username: Cartier1Post Number: 1988 Registered: Feb-07 | U R CRAZY MANNNN / u just saying anything . dpp is only for dosh proi plus lnb's u have to have all your lnb'[s dpp not dp there is big difference . and it's repoted to have lot of problem using dpp lnb's u may loose signal all the time . so sticxk with the easy way ./ dual lnb's 2 x disceqc switch and u set. take care im going to sleep man |
Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3347 Registered: Oct-06 | I don't advice yo to buy DP44 It requires stackable LNBs DPP make sure yor LNBs are dual And simply use 2 DISEqC switches |
Bronze Member Username: Pirate92Post Number: 12 Registered: Sep-07 | King, the picture makes sense but I dont have dual LNB's. Just to make sure i understand dual LNB. When you say dual LNB, you mean this ? http://www.solidsignal.tv/prod_display.asp?PROD=101001 http://www.solidsignal.tv/prod_display.asp?PROD=AK74-S |
Gold Member Username: TapemanNew York City in-HD, NY Post Number: 3348 Registered: Oct-06 | Dual means has 2 output just like LNB above marked 119 or lik this http://www.solidsignal.tv/prod_display.asp?PROD=101001 Twin LNB is like 110/119 but must have 2 outputs as well Twin Quad is like this http://www.solidsignal.tv/prod_display.asp?PROD=AK74-S |
