Monday, September 08, 2008 - 18:06 GMT bought the receiver and hooked up my existing surround speakers...however, my existing sub is passive and won't work with the sub out on the receiver...any idea how to get this to work? tried using the "amp assign" function to run the extra power to "zone 2," and hooked the sub up, but got nada...any help would be greatly appreciated

Thursday, September 11, 2008 - 22:58 GMT Yeah, that won't work, I don't think. Even if it did, how would you control the frequency that is sent to the amp. You'd be sending the full range to the amp.
