Dustcap getting hott????

The dust caps getting a little warm is not a huge problem at all, hot to the touch or pretty warm is when you start to worry! Well after searching google I found that amp and it's supposed to do 460 watts when bridged and those subs are said to handle 200rms. The only thing that could be an issue is your gain, make sure it is NOT cranked as that will cause issues. |

You realize that by sending the subs a square wave, the area under the curve can be 2x that of a normal sine wave...right?!!! AKA...ALOT MORE HEAT! I just about bet you are clipping the hell out of that amp. Set your gains properly. If it is not loud enough w/ a clean signal, get something louder. |
