I have a 15" Audiopulse Revo and it sounds great but when it goes for the low notes sometimes theres a big pop and it scares me everytime it sounds like a backfire sound or something anybody know what this means? im running the AQ2200D on this sub I did have the bass boost up a little bit but i just turned it down but idk if that would be causing the popping sound.

Do you have your filters set properly? Are you sure the sub isn't bottoming out?

I actully never messed with the subsonic filters i know my amp has it but idk what i would set it to i know my sub is ment to hit really low tho the fs for my sub is 22hz. That could be what its doing tho is maybe bottoming out its like a pop when it trys to get extra low but when i was using my 2 12" 17's i would play the same songs and they would never pop when it went extra low so i really don't know

You're likely bottoming out. Check what your subsonic filter is set to and let me know.

Try setting it at ~24hz and see if it still does it. If so keep going up until it stops making the noise.

im gonna try out the subsonic to see if that makes any difference its just wierd i never had to use a sub sonic filter on my l7's i had for like 3 years but i did notice when i had a 15" l7 back then that used to pop once in a while to but when i have 2 12's they never pop anybody know why that is? my guess is because the 15 hits a lot deeper then the 12s which can cause bottoming out?

i set the gain by ear it was only a little past the middle but i did have the bass boost a little past the middle to but then i turned it down alot so idk if that could have effected it but when i had my l7's set the same way they was fine no popping or anything im still gonna try out the subsonic first to see if that makes a difference its only on the really low notes it pops tho it happend on the song
