I think your problem is in the setup. User setup - and letting the keys in or manually entering the current keys.

You DO NOT LOAD factory bin. You have to use 2700 to 2500 conversion.exe file to do the revert to b60. You must not forget to install 294T before starting the new conversion process.

Hello Nalin:

I have Fortec Star. It was converted to Pansat 2500. I have tried a lot to load the bin. I have used BL V1.4 and GT Rom Loader. BL loader keeps saying "downloading 0%" and after a while says "write failed". GT Rom loader says "File type error", although the files are of BIN type. Please help me. If you want to suggest a loader and a bin file, please post the exact link so that I can get them easily.

Irrespective of the origin of your receiver, once converted, always use the BL updater 1.4
ALL 2500 and flu and other converted units use F/F db9 straight RS232 cable", so check your cable and make sure it is what it is supposed to be.
If you are not sure, the best thing to buy is a M/F null adaptor, which basically gives you two alternatives - one with only the unknown cable and the other with both adaptor and cable.

If you totally fail, you will always suceed in revert to 2500 if you have the right cable and use the special 2700 to 2500 Loader Converter.exe and b60_boot.bin
then you can decide to install either PUF or b75 after appropriate conversion again.

Hello Nalin:

Thanks for such a detailed message. I think partly the problem was with the cable. I was using a F/F RS 232 cable, but I changed it with a better quality one. By the way the old cable was fine with Pansat 2700A original. So, I changed the cable, used BL updater 1.4 and loaded bin file "fwank7_Jvvh-Team-PUFF_276" the loading process started.
I am glad I was able to upload the file. I will be able to check it tomorrow if the receiver is working.

Kindly suggest me if I need to upload a different bin file.

Thanks a lot again.
