Damn I wish when I was 16 I HAD to have a brand new car with a budget of 22k. Must be nice to be rich. I paid 1k cash that I worked really hard for for my first car,92 Honda Accord.

she deserves it. she does well in school and is very responsible. not to mention her dad (my uncle, aka my boss) can afford it. lol.

when i was 16 i had to share my car with my parents.

scion tc fully loaded is close to 22,000.
it's sharp looking, good on gas, and has lots of upgrades for it. only downside i can think of is, insurance might be higher cause of her age and it being a coupe

zack that was i suggested. but my uncle insists on buying a new car. my other cousin just got her car. she is also 16 and she just got a brand new honda civic monday night. now there's a bit of a competition between them two. lol. so i think its going to be mini cooper.

heres a few more, subaru legacy and a acura tsx. the tsx goes over the budget but with your uncle being a balla, he'll be able to make them go down using his skills.

forgot to mention. my cousins are twins. yes twins. only one has driver's license right now. when the other one gets a license, she is going to need a car too. so he can't go too much over the budget berny. not to mention his son is only 2 years behind his sisters. so he is going to need a car in a couple of years.

yeah I wish it had some wings, make that thing fly!!!!
lol

I'm pretty sure the engine is mounted in the center of the car, so it's pretty balanced throughout.

Why does it HAVE to be new? At 16 she'll be bored with it by her junior prom. $22,000 is waaaaay too much for anyone's first car IMO.

Shoot, my first car was my brother's 1981 buick. Sold it to me for $300. Yup, I beat the hell out of it.

And I still owe him that $300.

know what made me sad the other day is,I was at the gas station and this smokin hot!! blond pulled up next to me in a brand new mustang. The girl could not have been more than 17. this car still had the dealer tags in the window, but the right side of the car was all jacked up the door was dented in and her wheels were F*u*cked(she hit the curb or somthin) and there was a scratch the length of the car. I thought for sure she going to do the same to the other side trying to pull up to the pump witch took her the better part of 5 min.I had to share that I haven't talked to any one for a couple days.

yeah that sux cory. girls just don't take care of cars like we do.

ok yesterday we went to look at some cars.

she didn't like the mazda 3 and the mini cooper was too expensive. if you get the mini cooper with a bit of option, the price gets jacked up to almost 30,000. i was shocked. the dealer adds a couple thousand dollars and call it dealer mark up. what bs.

she looked at the new honda accord coupe but my uncle felt the car was too big for her so he told her between civic of scion tc.

so what's good. the honda civic or the scion tc?

"i was shocked. the dealer adds a couple thousand dollars and call it dealer mark up. what bs. "

I dunno about the "dealer markup" thing, sounds like BS. Not that you don't already know this stuff, but make sure your cousin and uncle keep in mind...

1. DO NOT let the dealer know if you really like a car. As someone who works in sales myself, the second they know you're starting to fall in love with the product, they know they can start working you for more money.

2. DO NOT let them know you need a car soon, even if that is the case. Make it clear that you are in NO HURRY, and if it takes months to find the right car, you're fine with that. Once they know that, they will start to offer more favorable compromises, because their goal is ALWAYS to get the deal done on the spot. They know damn well if the customer leaves without making the purchase, the VAST majority of the time, they're never gonna see you again.

Up where I went to school everybody drives old cars haha. No since in having a nice vehicle for most of the year since the northeastern weather and the salt the use to melt the ice will ruin it.
