Hi, Seems like I'm one of the few who've had no issues w/their standalone players, except that the original one I had, a CH-LDV 700 was replaced for $40 by Radio Shack and now the CH-LDV 700B has functioned for some2 years, but as for what disks it plays, nothing ever disclosed it doesn't play DTS or dual layer disks.
For buyers in general, I suppose when players say they support DVD-Video, SVCD, VCD, MP3, MPEG-2, JPEG formats, and play DVD, DVD-R/-RW, DVD+R/+RW, SVCD, VCD, Audio CD, MP3, JPG, MPEG formats, that actually means it might not or doesn't play DVD-Video disks also formatted with DTS and/or dual layers?
