This might be a stupid question but which sub will have more output ported, a 15" RE SE or a 12" RE SX. I know that with cone area the SE should be louder but the SX is more SPL orientated and can handle 400W RMS more. In the optimum box ported which sub will be louder?

dunno if this help u but i recently played around with both SE & SX in the 10" size & as expected SX was louder but SE drops lower\smoother

which amp do u have ?

even though the 15" is a lower model its cone area should make up in loudness to the 12" & possibly louder...

Not sure which would be louder on a mic, but to the ear I'm gonna say the 15" SE since it should hit lower. I've never heard either sub, so take it for what it's worth.
