I think I'm going to order it customized because I'm not 100% sure I could do it myself. Anyway this site I was using (www.cyberpowerpc.com) had several different subs I could use per item and I just want to make sure these will actually sync and not waste money if they don't. Here's what I'm thinking of getting atm. CASE: NZXT Zero Aluminum Full Tower 420W Case (Black/Silver Color) CPU: (Quad-Core)Intel® Core 2 Quad Q9450 @ 2.66GHz 1333FSB 12MB L2 Cache 64-bit MOTHERBOARD: (3-Way SLI & QX9650/9770 Support) Asus P5N-T Deluxe nForce 780i SLI Mainboard FSB1333 DDR2 3 x PCIe x16 SATA RAID w/ USB2.0, IEEE1394, & 7.1Audio MEMORY: (Req.DDR2 MainBoard)4GB (4x1GB) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory (Corsair or Major Brand) VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX 512MB 16X PCI Express (Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA) VIDEO CARD 2: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX 512MB 16X PCI Express (Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA) HARD DRIVE: High Performance with Data Security (RAID-1) with 2 Identical Hard Drives (320GB (320GBx2) SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache 7200RPM HDD) Data Hard Drive: 250GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 8MB Cache 7200RPM Hard Drive -- Recommended Optical Drive: LG GGC-H20L BLU-RAY/HD-DVD Reader / DVD±R/±RW Writer (Black Color) Optical Drive 2: 16X DVD ROM (BLACK COLOR) SOUND: 3D WAVE ON-BOARD 5.1 SOUND CARD NETWORK: Killer M1 10/100/1000 Gigabit High Speed Online Gaming PCI Network Interface Card Modem: PCI 56k V.92 Fax Modem w/ Voice Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3200 Laser Cordless Keyboard/Mouse Combo Extra Thermal Display: Thermal Temperature LCD Display with 3x Fan Controler. Cable Wiring: Professional Wiring for ALL WIRING Inside The System Chasis with High Performance Thermal Compound on CPU. OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium w/ Service Pack 1 64-bit Edition This was just cut/paste from the website, do you see any possible issues with this set up? It's being powered by a 800 w power supply, and they have upgrades till like 1400 w. The reason I'm posting here is because I want to make sure if I order this it will work properly. (Since the website didn't have many limitations in selecting, such as saying this motherboard would not work and such and making an option invalid) |

I agree, not at ann a neccessity, but the price will work out about the same (cheaper CPU, plus a heatsink instead of higher priced retail CPU) and you'll get better performance from the overclocked Q6600. I generally wouldn't push overclocking on a first time builder, but with an i780 chipset, and a Q6600 cooled buy a Tuniq or a Thermalright cooler, I have yet to see anybody fail at the attempt. It's practically a given to get 3.2+GHz from these things, and the performance gain is substantial. It reminds me of the old Intel Celeron 300a days of pushing them to 450+MHz, or the 166MMX @ 233+. |

I think I was like 8 years old and everyone was talking about how great those comps were. To the OP: If you're still in the process of this I'd look into a 4870x2 video card because from what I've seen they can beat the top Nvidia 280GTX in SLI in most things except for Crysis which is optimized for Nvidia based cards. |
