Building a fiberglass box for one 15" kicker L7. Two ports..one on each side of the subwoofer, I just don't know which way to face them yet. This idea is purely on the look I want to go for, but don't want it to interfere with peformance. If yall see anything wrong with this let me know. Some quick sketches. Second picture..black=box,light gray=magnet, dark gray=subwoofer, yellow=port. http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/7612/boxod4.jpg http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/9918/portboxoz7.jpg http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/6233/cimg2693xa1.jpg http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/6373/cimg2697bk6.jpg |

I loosely wrapped the box without the ports to see about how much space I will have which came out between 3.5-4 cu.ft. Im aiming for 4 cu.ft so with a tight stretch of the fabric and protruding the ports out more I should be able to hit that mark and maybe a little more. I just need to get the ports situated so I can have a better idea of my space..I just wasn't sure if it was ok to have the opening of the port right at the woofer/magnet. |
