Silver Member Username: Hittin1Lake Charles, La. United States Post Number: 397 Registered: May-07 | I am looking to replace my 2-12" Solo X's(require too much room for my Jeep) with 2 subs that will be happy with about 7.5-8 cu. ft total. SPL or SQL setup prefered. 12's or 15"s. They will be run off of 2- BXI2005D's (I know, I know) for now. I would like to get better TL #'s if I can.. Electrical is set for these amps.. Going in my 1999 Jeep Cherokee later this summer. Please leave any suggestions and I will do the research on the sub's that I am not familiar with.. If the amps are not enough power for the subs that yall recomend, It will be fine as I will upgrade when time is right... Thanks a lot guys! Budget is not real important. |

If there was truly no budget, I'd tell you Audiopulse LMS Ultra's at $1400 retail per sub...see my point? |
Silver Member Username: Hittin1Lake Charles, La. United States Post Number: 399 Registered: May-07 | Audiopulse LMS ULTRA are not outta the question... But I thought they required more room(then I have) for max performance.. But I figured I would get called on the budget... so I'll go with $1200 or so.. Will look into ALL suggestions! thanks Exige Audio for the reply |
Silver Member Username: ExigeCincinnati Post Number: 350 Registered: Nov-07 | 2 ULTRA's actually need a max of 7 cu ft ported. 2 Audiopulse Axis 15's would work with your budget and available box size. Feel free to email me if interested. Mike sales@exigeaudio.com |

Gold Member Username: JakeyplaysbassSt. Louis, MO / ASU Post Number: 2768 Registered: Jul-05 | If im correct those amps only put out like 1600rms @ 1ohm so get 2 15" RD audio Alphas for a nice little SQL setup. I dont think you have enough power to properly push an Axis, BTL, or SSX. |
Bronze Member Username: GibsonguyPost Number: 42 Registered: May-08 | Those axis subs look nice, but I can't see paying that high price tag. I could see them selling for close to $1000 each, but $1400 seems like a lot to me. But for people where money isn't an option they would be cool to try out. |

Silver Member Username: Hittin1Lake Charles, La. United States Post Number: 404 Registered: May-07 | i dont mind under powering the subs a lil'. The amps will be replaced with about 4400-5000 wrms eventually.. I really need to free up space in my jeep. But was happy with the loudness of my Solo's 12 cu. ft.... No back seats |
Bronze Member Username: GibsonguyPost Number: 43 Registered: May-08 | What buildhouse do they use for the axis subwoofers? It looks like something TC Sounds would come out with. Just another LMS type driver. |
Bronze Member Username: GibsonguyPost Number: 44 Registered: May-08 | o wait just checkout out tc's site lol. http://www.tcsounds.com/ question answered. |
Silver Member Username: Hittin1Lake Charles, La. United States Post Number: 405 Registered: May-07 | it is made by TC sounds-Audiopulse |
Gold Member Username: HdubbTeam Revolution Post Number: 3697 Registered: Nov-04 | hmm the ssx would be a great sub in my opinion. also the hw v.2 would be a great sub for you. the new btl would be cool. even though i havent played with them, but if they are better then the v.1 then im sure they are badass. the re mt, is another great choice. lol the axis isnt a lms driver. its a normal flatwind alum coil. that uses a 3hp motor. the lms coil is only used in the lms ultra, and lms5400. and quite a few older 3in subs. like the rls which is a modded 3hp motor. another slug was added to it. |

Bronze Member Username: GibsonguyPost Number: 45 Registered: May-08 | just wondering, but what type of electrical system do you have? You do know it will cost close to a grand in electrical upgrades to run around 5000rms? Just something to consider when picking out subs. |
