Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 6327 Registered: Jul-06 | No, coaxial is a 2way speaker where the tweeter is built into the center of the speaker cone. Component is a 2way or 3way separate midrange and tweeter with a crossover. Components sound MUCH better than coaxials. |

Nope they both do, they usually have small crossovers built into the coaxials and some higher end coaxials have separate crossovers my coaxial set is 3-way it sounds great- nobody calls them triaxle |
