Ok i used the Pizza Box as a template.... On my old old old Sub enclosure. it was the same opening as the Fi SSD Basically... There is a lil mess up my friend wit train horn when i was cutting the Hole beeped his horn lol... Nothing to bad.. Keep in mind this is my first Box... and like 300th install... I tore most of the car apart it is all put back together... And yea those are brownies i got hungry
"Lol yea it is a Bit Piece and those are Scissors... Its not Ghetto.. Its Jewtto lol.. "
Actually, it really is ghetto because didn't the word "ghetto" technically originate from the small areas of Na zi Germany that Jews were forced to live in??? (for some reason you can't put Na_zi by the way)
haha felt the need to be a smartazz (i think that's true, if not, i'm a dumbazz) but box looks good man, install's nice.
Yea Cal Payne you are right.. Jews where the first to live in the ghetto... it was a lil city that jews were forced to live in... but hey they jews lasted 6-8 months fighting off the Na zi's and the French lasted 1 week in all there wars lol dam french.. JEWS FTW??????
I wasn't bein a dick. It's just that build you have is more or less maybe a lil bigger, but the same thing flea markets sell. I mean I totally commend you for doing it yourself and everything but maybe if you knew ahead of time, you might have saved yourself money and time - or perhaps built a different style. =]
BTW- The Na_zis brought the Jews to the ghettos not to a ghetto or in the ghetto. It was a complex of what looked like appartment buildings with no running water or heat. Food came rarely. The Jew's main way out was suicide by a little vile of liquid they kept in their socks. (Now I'm bein the smartazz lol ^^)}
actually nick, if you knew how "flea market" boxes were built, not to mention what type of would they are usually built with, you would realize how uninformed that statement you just made is.
Enlighten me then Thieves. Cause I'm pretty sure I was there not to long ago. And I'm pretty sure they were selling 1.5 cubic ft boxes made of MDF board or HD board (High Density) I use to work at Menards so I know the difference between them in fact they are almost the same. And I was in fact commenting on the style not really what it's made of.
don't really know what a Menards is, but I assume it's some sort of dept. or home improvement store.
the boxes they sell at the flea market are usually either 1/4"-1/2" mdf which isn't optimal by any standards for a 15" woofer. either they are made this thin, without double baffling or they are made from a particle board that is more porous and a lot weaker than mdf. if they are more porous, that lowers the acoustic value of the wood, thus lowering the sound quality and increasing the distortion when these "woods" are used for speaker boxes. sometimes boxes like these are built with both of the situations I have listed above. these materials just aren't sound for what Kang is doing here, nor should it be for any woofer, thus making it not worth the money/time/headache.
if you enjoy buying from the flea market, to each their own.
You're kidding me, right? If you aren't, please change your name because you are degrading the great name of Nick on this forum.
""And I'm pretty sure they were selling 1.5 cubic ft boxes""
Who cares? There are other things to a box besides the space. There is a certain amount of port area that each sub likes. There is also a set tuning that the sub likes. There is no such thing as "One size fits all" when it comes to subwoofer enclosures. The best way to go is custom for your driver.
