do you need to unplug the receiver everytime you reconnect the sat finder my dish is on the roof trying to get bev in.

yes yes yes,
always turn receiver off when doing any kind of work on co ax cable or switch,failure to do so may result in damage to switch and or receiver

easy way to install dish is go to www.dishpointer.com\enter your address and sat you want and hit go
keep on double clicking on marker and you will get exact direction from your house
also adjust elevation and skew it is there

I think there still some tolerance with dishpointer.com or the satcalculator.freehostia

I tried to angles on 91, both showed elevation @40.9, but I ended with about 44 to get stronger signals.

it is still a better idea to fine tune with tv/fta near by or a cheap sat finder always come in handy.
