The specs for the amp are the following: * 2 channel amplifier * 2 x 80w RMS at 4 ohms * 1 x 160w RMS at 2 ohms and the sub: 12" (300mm) IMPP Cone with Rubber Edge 50oz Magnet 2" Heat Resistant Kapton Voice Coil Input Power: 120W RMS / 250W MAX Frequency Response: 25Hz-2KHz Impedance: 4 Ohms Sensitivity: 90dB Gold Plated Round Terminals for Quick Connection At the moment, from an old configuration, the sub is connected to the amp via a bridged connection. Does that mean that the amp is running at 1 x 160w RMS at 2 ohms? Since the sub is rated with an impedance of 4ohm, how would i change the wiring so that the sub runs at 2ohm to correspond with the 1 x 160w RMS at 2 ohms of the amp, if that makes any sense Any help or feedback will be greatly appreciated |
