Silver Member Username: QuirkySA, Texas Post Number: 180 Registered: Feb-07 | Alright, I have 2 Fi X12's in a prefab ported box right now. they sound alright but not great. Either I put ~$200 into a box for them or I save up and buy a Q15 and a box(~$300+$200). my question: how much better will the Q sound than two 12X's? is it worth waiting to save up for the Q and the extra $300. |

The prefab box is most likely limiting the performance of those subs. Build your own box, that will make your decision alot easier since it won't cost near 200. |

Its just a lot easier to pay someone. Ive got a buddy of mine that seems to know a lot about box building however, how much should i pay him? 150? |

Gold Member Username: Naledge503Portland, Or Post Number: 3521 Registered: Jun-06 | The x's werent designed for IB apps. Fi does however have a sub designed for IB apps. The X was on a blowout. I dont know if they have any left but I'm sure you can contact Scott and find out. |
Silver Member Username: QuirkySA, Texas Post Number: 185 Registered: Feb-07 | "Ben, They are dual 4 Ohm subs. They were discontinued due to lack of sales. It simply seems that most Fi customers wanted larger subs with options... and not a standard 2" coilde sub. I really liked them and was disappointed that they didnt sell better. But, I am using a very similar design for another company I own coming out shortly. Dealers seem to really like them."- E-mail from Scott at Fi |
