Well last month i had an alarm fitted i payed for the 950 clifford with intelli start to be fitted but instead they fitted the MKII 650 with add on`s. So i didnt complain as i was told they are the same thing. Currently my car has tilt and motion sensor, remote start, glass sensor, proximity sensor and turbo timer relay for my turbo timer. The car which the alarm was fitted is a toyot supra twin turbo. Anyways after collecting the car and driving it i noticed the lights were all not working and iv owned the car for 7 years but not once had a problem. So i thought it could be the alarm or they must of done something wrong. So when i took the car to them they straight away said its my light switch but after them examining it they said it was a fuse blown, before hand i checked the fuses and they seemed fine, so they fixed the problem. Now for the last 4 weeks i have not driven my car much and everyday i use my remote start to start the car and then press the button again to turn the engine off. When i press the button to turn the engine, my turbo timer kicks in leaving the car still alarmed and running until the turbo timer shuts down car. So the other day i go to start the car by remote start and then turn it off by remote start and notice the car is not staying on(turbo timer). After checking i saw my turbo timer counting down but the car does not stay on like it did. Now iv not once had a problem with the turbo timer and all of a sudden its stopped the car from staying on. So i took the car back and he said my turbo timer ignition has blown inside the turbo timer and i asked if it was due to the alarm which i personally think it is, he also told me they only cut one wire which is on the turbo timer and connected the relay on the ingnition wire on the turbo timer. Now could this problem with my turbo timer not be working due the the alarm? or the way its been installed? i need advice so i can take further action seeing as i payed 800 pounds for an alarm thats caused my car problems |
