Bronze Member Username: Bass_enjoyerPost Number: 21 Registered: Jun-07 | Are your mids/highs amplified? What type/brand of head unit do you have? I would check all grounds and any RCA cables used; don't run RCA cables near power wire. If the problem still exists I'm sure people on this forum will be able to help you. |

Silver Member Username: StamantLA, FL USA Post Number: 390 Registered: Sep-04 | Ya, kind of just started out of the blue. I have heard pioneer HUs are known for this problem. |
Bronze Member Username: Bass_enjoyerPost Number: 23 Registered: Jun-07 | Well here's a quote from Chad Lee about someone with a pioneer head unit with a similar problem (constant test tone/whine noise). "unfortunately that is a common problem with the pioneer headunits. not the indash, just the head units. anyways charlie, ground the rca cable to the chasis of your head unit. you can wrap a cable around one of the rca cable and the other end you can ground it to the chasis on the headunit. on the back of your hu, there is a little screw. just undo that and wrap the other end of the cable to that screw and screw it back on." |
