You know how DN started their mess in December and added PID 0106 And we must have new fix every time they change PID 0106.
Before December, before 0106, anytime they chaned keys, we were able to input keys and watch tv until new auto roll fixes were out.
Was that the Full EMU or whatever it is? Why can't we input the new keys. Or if we add new ID(0106) manually, and input the codes, it still doesn't decrypt the signal. What does it(0106) really do and what is really needed to be done so that we can compile a new bin and add those keys to decrypt the signal when we have a blackout.
To explain this new DN PID 0106 keys... and Bev PID 0907
Dishnet (DN) has introduced a new secondary key code and provider PID 0106...the usual main PID (Provider ID) is 0101...normally we change the keys and autoroll to keys 0101, which we must ALWAYS still keep updated and current...but with this new PID (intoduced originally 22 October) we cannot change these keys, and the autoroll doesn't input them, so a NEW bin is required whenever DN changes the keys in PID 0106...The new PID can be used on any specific channels that DN want to , so in many cases DN will input them on the PPV's, adult channels,and international channels..so that why U can get the regular channels with the older bins, but need a new bin for the channels that Dishnet (DN) uses the new PID 0106 keys now...
The same thing applies to Bev PID 0907 secondary keys...usually main active Bev keys are 0901, NOT 0907...but Bev can use either or both sets of keys 0901 or 0907....just like DN can with main active keys 0101 and secondary new 0106 keys now..ON ANY CHANNNELS THEY CHOOSE, WHENEVER THEY CHOOSE..OR ALL CHANNELS, IF THEY WISH..
AT THIS POINT IN TIME, U CAN NOT MANUALLY INPUT THESE SECONDARY DN 0106 AND BEV 0907 KEYS MANUALLY INTO FTA RECEIVERS..AND REQUIRE NEW FIXES...BUT SHOULD GET SOME CHANNELS UNLESS THE SECONDARY KEYS ARE APPLIED TO ALL CHANNELS... _________________

How it works: Variable frequency in a fixed range Basically substitutes external pulses to supply variable small frequency within a specific fixed range of frequency with a variable step control to maintain stepless speed in an over all specific frequency range Providing a simple stable programmable control Controlled time delay similar to your wind shield wiper Over all purpose is to keep output frequency within a reach from a lowest bound to highest bound Can also add an over all automatic constant step and repeat process I call it the Stinger Similar to your heat thermostat

My question is this: why the constant bickering? We tend to admire all three of you guys for what you know and how you disseminate the information. Why spoil it, LK, by attacking KT and Nalin. The value that's lost here at this forum Is nobody here looking at satellites as a tremendous hobby this is what I expect from the true #1 forum in North America Wasting the greatest opportunity of knowledge exchange using this forum. I certainly learned the most from newbies that came with installation issues and I try to guide them based on what I know about electronics a two way exchange that we both learn from.
If there is at least 5 consistent members here that are serious about satellite hobby I like to see only 5

Nagra (encryption provider to BEV an DN) Nagra's Engineers felt that conventional Hexadecimal keys does not disrupt service effectively So they added a second provider set that's very much controls (hardware) analog frequency rather than just conventional hexadecimal keys.

Well there's a cpl things..1st, I'd try, a serious no confrontational reply having the individual attempt to utlize the he/him/Mr vernacular or screen name alone. 2nd.. If that doesn't work go in the mannaer in which KT spoke of ignore the statement / indivdual, as it only shows the ignorance of an indidvdual or the lack of maturity of an indidvdual who is upset about something. Like all professor types, King Tapeman often knows a lot about a particular subject and now and then gets side tracked into what he believes to be new exciting info, but in fact is not so new to many. Same with conclusions - after a lot of good data, he can come with an exciting new conclusion which is often true and sometime totally out of tune with reality.

myself...just another slug with alot of DSS experience, but no "guru"..but can troubleshoot and fix, or get FTA up 100x faster than KT or nalin, for any user..
And there are a few others around here, which I haven't seen in awhile, that can put a few of us to shame..
