hi...can anyone help me...i jes loaded da 1.70 bin and now im showing no channels...patch is enabled...do i hafta do some sort of scan...sorry..newbie...
Sir/Ma'am you have to give alittle bit more info for help, if it was working be4 and you get no channels now, then it could be a host of things.
I mean no channel like No EPG, or no channel like it says scramble..more info is really need
Here are the basics to start with then get back with someone here to see where u are after u try this.
lets start from base zero and work from there. OK this is what I would do providing you loaded the bin with the 1.05 loader for 600s, and u loaded the new 1.70 for 600s, and this isn't the first time (meaning u had it working before the lastest ecm)
Patch enable sat wire from dish in correct LNB in back of STB
go to menu (if you see key menu on bottom) the patch is enable.
Go to Installation, Go to antenna settings ensure your settings are correct. (meaning sat name (110 23 echoStar or 119 etc) LNB freq, LNB type Disqc is correct and set (these settings vary typically using 110 as an example would be) 110 12224 11250 OCS-dp (unless poorman version then > Normal) off LNB2 (if thats the place from disqc)you'll now cause of signal and quality strenght) off none
those are typical settings, If you are getting signal and quality try default setting all, and rescan per sat you have 110, 119 etc. enable patch watch tv..
Now the above is possible if you never watched be4 and just loaded with 1.70 then yes sir you must scan channels from install > antenna setting screen> using same method for set up and once settings are complete hit auto scan or blind
If this doesn't work go to crazyFta.C*m or completefta.C*m and look at the How to guides there. I could do a copy paste for you, but it would be easier and the same guide is at both sites.

thanks WhyNot...sorry for the lack of info...yes it was working previous to da 1.70...have been uploading new bins but this is the first time this has happened...
quality and strength are good on the antenna settings..i am trying to do scan now...it looks like channels are starting to come up...will let u know how it goes...hopefully works tho

cool, sometime the 600s are fickle like that where you have to do a factory default once in awhile. I have heard that in all actualality ur suppose to unplug the STB power cord then take the SAT LNB inline (to STB off), prior to loading..(it's been said double channels, lose of channels could occur from not doing this this). Me I'm to lazy for all that if it happens default autoscan call it the day, at worse factory firm, latest binary and keep it moving...But of course this is from what I've heard...
