I am trying to hook up a sat for 82 & 91. I have 2 sats. One of them is Superdish 121 which is being used for 110 and 119 only. The other one 500 with DP twin LNBF. I found the singal using old DN receiver for 82 and 91. I am getting both birds. I have a viewsat Lite loaded with latest PGM. When I goto Antenna Setup, I only see 4 sat (110, 119, 121, and 91. I have the following setting. Sat:8,10 110.0w lnb power: on lnb typecs: OCS-DP lnb freq:11250 22khz: off tp freq:12224 diseqc: : Port 2 motor: off legacy sw: none
Sat:7 119.0w lnb power: on lnb typecs: OCS-DP lnb freq:11250 22khz: off tp freq:12239 diseqc: : Port 1 motor: off legacy sw: none
Sat:Nimiq1,3 91.0w lnb power: on lnb typecs: OCS-DP lnb freq:11250 22khz: off tp freq:12224 diseqc: : Port 3 motor: off legacy sw: none
When I do this, I don't get any Q. If I change the TP Freq to 12676 than I get 75% Q. If I change LNB Type to "Standard" than I get Q 75%. Top of window says Nimiq1,3 91.0W. My main focus is here to get 82. How can I add that to my sats list?. I've read I don't need to download satfile because new factory bins have all the new info. I even restore my VS to new factory bin. If I want to delete 91 and rescan how can I do that?. Thanks in Advance.
African, I did use dishpointer to setup my dish. Only thing I had to change was skew (~45). My zipcode is 55901 and website gave this info. Elevation: 38.9° Azimuth (true): 171.5° Azimuth (magn.): 171.4° Dish skew: 85.3° I couldn't find any signal at 38.9 but around 45 I found signal. Like I mentioned, I was using DN old receiver to find signal. Each time I connected 82 or 91. Receiver showed I was pointing at right bird. With DN receiver I was using 110 and Tp 11 to find signal. I was able to scan some channels. I looked at bev channel list. Some channels from 82 are there like ATN Tamil Channel but autoRoll processing. I was able to see at one point before I rescan some different TP. Do you think I need satfile?. I don't know how to scan 82 since there is no option for it in Antenna Setup Menu.
no, I didn't. if I use port 4 with above setting and I don't see 82.0W on Top of the window. Like I mentioned, I have only 4 sats stored in VS which are 110, 119, 121 and 91. If I do above setting, will I be able to see 82.0W even its not the software?.
Bobby, if you go to settings you can bring up 82 on the top line then do what sada said, you should see signal and quality and you should see 82 on top right hand corner.when you get that scan for channels.post results
when I tried this setting: Sat:Nimiq1,3 91.0w lnb power: on lnb typecs: OCS-DP lnb freq:11250 22khz: off tp freq:12224 diseqc: : Port 4 motor: off legacy sw: none I got some signal on both S & Q. I didn't see Nimiq2,4 82.0W at the top window because I don't have that satfile in my system. I believe it was nothing at the top or 91. Than I scanned the channels. I noticed I was not getting any signal from even Tps. There were some channels from Odd tps. I am getting my info from here: http://www.lyngsxx.com/packages/expressvu2_sid.html If I want to have clean scan without delete 110 and 119. How can delete channels from other birds?.
on remote go to sat select sat then go to menu>channel and delete you will have to select the channels to be deleted as far as signal, your lnb skew might be wrong, and all satellites should be in antenna settings,if not, make a note of all your current settings and do factory reset and scan all sats
I had similar problem. The only thing I notice different in your setting is the LNB type. mine was set to Universal and it scanned the channels correctly and I watched the India V Australia on CBN.
African and Sada, I'll try to do suggestions when I get home. If I have all the LNBs pointed to right birds than I should be able to see those sats?. I did factory reset yesterday. After each factory I see 110, 119, 121 and 91 sats hardcodes in my VS.
Maybe try to viewsatusa.com/support and load this: VS2000 Platinum & Lite Factory Bin File - V0278 switch off 5 secs and Sat info: General Satellite Info File (compatible with Platinum, Lite, Xtreme, Ultra only !) switch off 5secs and last bin this is good for replaced channel ant sat miss
When I was setting my dish over the weekend. As I mentioned I used DN receiver. First I looked for 91. G6 cable was connected directly to receiver. DN receiver showed that I was pointing to 91. Than I connected 82 cable and receiver said bev82. I just want to make sure 82LNB is on right side when looking at the dish from behind?. My understand is sats number increase as you go from right to left (looking from back of the dish)?. Thanks
Bobby, I,m in north cal. I,m missing signal from sat 82's odd tps. I have tried every thing.Even I tried to use 36inch dish. All I can say is the sat,s position is playing its role here.
Well my friends, I did factory reset first. I loaded latest PGM and Satfile from viewsat website. After all this I used my previous setting. I saw many birds in antenna setup window. I choose 119, 110, 91 and 82. I am not missing any channels or TPs. IMPORTANT thing is download latest satinfo file from viewsat website if you are looking to hook-up other than DN birds. I knew I had my dish hooked up correct . Here is my current setting and everything is working Sat:8,10 110.0w lnb power: on lnb typecs: OCS-DP lnb freq:11250 22khz: off tp freq:12224 diseqc: : Port 2 motor: off legacy sw: none
Sat:7 119.0w lnb power: on lnb typecs: OCS-DP lnb freq:11250 22khz: off tp freq:12239 diseqc: : Port 1 motor: off legacy sw: none
Sat:Nimiq1,3 91.0w lnb power: on lnb typecs: OCS-DP lnb freq:11250 22khz: off tp freq:12224 diseqc: : Port 4 motor: off legacy sw: none
Sat:Nimiq2,4 82.0w lnb power: on lnb typecs: OCS-DP lnb freq:11250 22khz: off tp freq:12224 diseqc: : Port 3 motor: off legacy sw: none
I hope someone can learn from my experience or mistakes. I thank you for your quick responses and suggestions. Do you think I can change the from "Even Tps are missing on Bev 82" to "How to setup 82 and 91".
