VS PRO - PVR question

I have a VS PRO and I downloaded a soccer game into an external hard drive. I would like to now be able to see it in my computer and if I like it to burn it to a DVD. However when I plug in the hard drive into the computer I dont see anything.Does anybody know what is it that I need? Thank you

Second question: When recording using VS Pro + External hard drive, can we skip commercials while recording ? This can easily be done when VCR recording, but can we do it when VS Pro + External HD recording ? Thanks.
