what are you trying to push? and voice coil config.

It's not a rule or something but you might find 2 ohm Stable monoblocks more expensive that 1 ohm stable.

AQ 1200D @ 1ohm will produce more then rated. $249 shipped cant beat that price for true rms.

i might get a Memphis MOJO12D2 or a Fi BL12

voice config im not sure about due to inexperience with subs, but my friend's has a dual voice coil, and im guessing thats better

ive also heard that running on lower ohms is better, not sure if this is true or not

kind of on a budget, highest is probably around the price of an ED NINe.1

im open to amps that can compare themselves with the kicker az1500.1 or the aq1200D (both do sound tempting, just gotta coin toss them if still comes down to those 2)

The Mmats? Huh?

"ive also heard that running on lower ohms is better, not sure if this is true or not"
I suppose it depends. If you're a competitor, then you may want to put less impedance on your amp to get more power. With regards to amplitude, someone said that they wired their subs down to a lower impedance and it was just as loud as before due to the decrease in torque from the paralleled coils. Higher impedances are much easier on your amp as well. The damping factor increases too.
