So, I'm building a 4 cu. ft. ported enclosure tuned to 33 hz for two 12" kicker cvr's.

question is, how do i ensure that there's no port noise? Certain square inch opening? Also, I was planning on having the port in the middle of the two subs, but would it be better(i kno it would use less wood) to just have it to one side?

thanks guys.

Im no box builder but i think the main reason for port noise is to little port area(has something to do with port velocity)

slot port program...http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31

I use linearteam as a guide but dont let the vent mach get over 11 and you shouldnt get port noise but go lower if you can and then covert the square inches of port you use on that to make a slot port but follow what the slot port calculator says for port length which will be different than what the linearteam program says the length should be

that program seems to make the port opening too small the last time I used it
