Gold Member Username: Nyyfan1315 MAG USA Post Number: 8273 Registered: Jul-06 | I'm building my box tomorrow. Roughly 3.11032cuft before driver displacement so 2.91032 after driver displacement. But, thats besides the point right now. I've always like the look of a flush mount so I'm debating doing it. Benefits would be double baffled front although I don't need it and it would look better imo. Bad effects would be weight and time. Opinions needed. Only need a yes or a no. Wanna throw in something else, go for it. |

Gold Member Username: Nyyfan1315 MAG USA Post Number: 8275 Registered: Jul-06 | Paul, I don't THINK it will but it might. If it does make me buy another one, then I probably won't do it. |

Platinum Member Username: WingmanaliveA pic is worth 1000 posts!! Post Number: 13339 Registered: Jun-06 | They do at my HD. 2X4 sheets as well as 4X4 sheets. They charge a tad more for the cut in perspective to its' size but if you don't have a truck it can be nice to at least get the MDF home without using the hood of your car. I don't trust those ppl to make any of my final cuts tho..... |

Silver Member Username: JnoelAIM= j69noel, KY Post Number: 982 Registered: May-07 | you can buy a half of a sheet if you need extra......it'd b worth it just cause it looks cleaner |

Gold Member Username: Skibum12189Cleveland Post Number: 2604 Registered: Mar-06 | also, couldnt he just use your basic 3/4 plywood for the second baffle? |
Gold Member Username: ShortysetniesRock Vegas, NC US Post Number: 1975 Registered: Mar-06 | haha. If chads right, dont do it. too much time to spend on a temp box. If its the final one, do it. If you do it, make sure that the sub cut out is clean. nothing worse than a sh!tty cut out that you can see. |
Gold Member Username: Nyyfan1315 MAG USA Post Number: 8277 Registered: Jul-06 | Lol Cal. I was hoping someone would catch that simple joke. Thanks dude. I didn't think of that Marc. Thats not a bad idea at all. I might just do that now. Cool stuff Marc. Thanks bud. Chad, it MIGHT be my temporary box. Don't get me wrong, I am no box builder or math genius, but I don't see me getting a 3.5cuft ported box in there. It took me long enough to find the dimensions for my sealed box right now. So I'm just gonna build a good looking box just in case I do have to use it for a while. This will be the last 15" I buy ![]() |

Gold Member Username: TejcurrentPost Number: 1060 Registered: Apr-07 | It only takes a minute to slap on another piece and cut another hole. Unless you feel lazy I say yes. |
Platinum Member Username: BestmankindWEST COAST RD AUDIO Post Number: 18025 Registered: Oct-05 | troy is right. i retract my statement of no and i say yes yanks. lol. the reason is, before last night, i have been using a old beat up jig saw. it would take me 30 minutes to cut out the hole. after using a new jigsaw yesterday i see how easy it is to cut out the hole. lol. |
Gold Member Username: Nyyfan1315 MAG USA Post Number: 8292 Registered: Jul-06 | Yea I guess it wouldn't take much time. I'll do it I guess. It makes it look sooo much cleaner imo |
Platinum Member Username: BestmankindWEST COAST RD AUDIO Post Number: 18027 Registered: Oct-05 | also yanks get a good quality carpet. i've used thin ones and they look good but when you wrap it with a bit thicker carpet, it just looks way better. |
Gold Member Username: Nyyfan1315 MAG USA Post Number: 8295 Registered: Jul-06 | I got a bunch of carpet left over from my last box. The carpet looks nice and held up good. |
