Saturday, February 09, 2008 - 16:05 GMT Bandpass is a hard design to nail on the head. There's very little room for error. If you're slightly off it can/will sound like pooop. And prefabs are for those with either no money/skills/friends/tools or still wear spidey underwear and pjs.........

Saturday, February 09, 2008 - 22:08 GMT the shop me and berny go to has special prefabs. well kinda. lol. the manager at the shop is a box builder himself so he knows about tuning and all that. so he places special order to the prefab box place.

Sunday, February 10, 2008 - 00:45 GMT Not all prefabs are bad, but 95% of prefab bandpasses are. Bandpass boxes are too sub specific to really prefab. Audio Enhancer makes some nice prefabs for the $. DD512's sound quite good in their PB series boxes.

Sunday, February 10, 2008 - 01:37 GMT And 4th order........ almost all bandpass boxes are designed to create a peak at one frequencey...... which makes them sound like sh!t
