I susccesfully converted a Pasnast 2500A to 2700. Will future updates require bins designed specifically for a converted STB, or will any 2700 bin work?

Jake,

Since, now you have a converted Pansat 2500, you must use either JVVH or Chancysand bins. Using the original Pansat 2700 bins will bring your FTA receiver to death.

Tut22: All instructions and files at:

http://public.box.net/2500_full_kit
The full kit is in full_kit_16A.zip or later. Download the kit and unzip in a new jvvh directory. Read the instructions in the Instructions.doc file. Some files can be downloaded separately

Hello Nalin,
I spent lots of time trying to find answer why my Pansat2500A remote after conversion to 2700 doesn't work even I followed your instructions 100%.
I found on the other site that I need to use 2700 remote now. I was thinking that the bin: Jvvh_PansatRemote_248 does that job, enables 2500 remote to work with newly converted 2700?
Thanks so much if you find a minute for an answer

Ah Thank you Metallica so much, I missed it somehow, it works now. I only can't find my old satellite I use to watch mostly, That's Galaxy 25 @ 97.0*W. It is not on the list at all, so I guess, I need add it manually or load other satellite list (no ideea which one).
Thank you very much}

Thanks everyone especially you metallica, I got clue by loading the other bin (not pansat like I did).
Everything works now.
Now the new quest. Since I have antenna rotor, (watching only Globecast), can I add DN LNB and have combination of DN and GCast LNBs (avoid to have 2 antennas) and watch DNetw. Did anyone try it?

Thanks everyone

Just replace your LNB with this Invacom QPH-031
Upload

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Invacom QPH-031 QUAD LNBF Details

The Quad Polar LNBF, model QPH-031, offers 4 outputs for the reception of both Linear (FSS) and Circular (DBS) Ku-Band, with a 0.3dB noise level! Excellent choice to use with your motorized satellite dish.

Your Dish needs to be 33" or 36"
