Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 6040 Registered: Jul-06 | If those are rear speakers just get rid of them. They only subtract from the sound. If you need to run speakers in a 6x9 spot, get an adapter for 6.5s. Then you can put a good set in there. |
Gold Member Username: Skibum12189Cleveland Post Number: 2573 Registered: Mar-06 | this thread is the classic "i need (blank)" thread and then the classic "i have this for sale" answer.... it wouldn't be all bad if maybe he (i'm not naming names, extends beyond this thread) who posts something he has, might also provide some helpful information or advice the the person asking a question... |

Silver Member Username: SkaUSA Post Number: 301 Registered: Jan-08 | if your saying me, he hasn't asked any questions... so its kinda hard to answer questions when they aren't asked... |
Silver Member Username: SkaUSA Post Number: 302 Registered: Jan-08 | he just said i need 6x9's and then posted a budget... no other information was givin lol |
New member Username: FurciferSTL Post Number: 5 Registered: Feb-08 | he did ask a question, he wants to replace his 6x9's with something else. "what would be some good speakers to take place of stock 6x9s?" is his exact question. He didn't ask for 6x9's he asked what would be some good speakers to replace the 6x9's |
Silver Member Username: SkaUSA Post Number: 304 Registered: Jan-08 | ok, so i took it as, he wanted to replace the stock 6x9 with different 6x9. because he never said he wanted to get a different size speaker, just replace the stock 6x9, if im wrong then thats my bad lol... i do have the coprehension of an 8th grader lol |
Silver Member Username: Pbplayer05Carroll, Iowa Post Number: 420 Registered: May-07 | well would replacing the front speakers and removing the back ones be better then |
Silver Member Username: Pbplayer05Carroll, Iowa Post Number: 421 Registered: May-07 | ? like i said i have 150 t spend so if replacing the fron it better and just leaving th back out what are some good ones that fit that budget |
Gold Member Username: Denali_on_22sThe kids like my rhyme... Post Number: 3942 Registered: Feb-06 | i've never fucked with 6x9s so i dunno... i was just reppin' for bern. i would say components up front would give you better sq while the 6x9s would provide more midbass... it's really up to you |
Silver Member Username: Pbplayer05Carroll, Iowa Post Number: 422 Registered: May-07 | well if i put 6x9s in im not gunna do the front speakers but ive heard that its better to do the front so i waswandering wat some good components are in that range |
Silver Member Username: Stateprop486PA Post Number: 283 Registered: Jan-08 | you cant really get good components with that much budget, but you could do Alpine SPR-17s comps find em on ebay. |
Gold Member Username: Skibum12189Cleveland Post Number: 2584 Registered: Mar-06 | if the 6x9s are in the front, i'd make a baffle in the same shape of the current 6x9 and then mount a 5.25" mid and a 1" tweeter. you can find a very nice set of comps for 150 dollars. i haven't really heard a ton of components, but i know that i love my Hex's (Diamond HEX S600s) but they run about 200 bucks. Can't you get a pair of like focal 165a's for like 150? Idk |
Silver Member Username: Drant19DUB-C, TX Post Number: 335 Registered: Aug-07 | if your going to get components, get an amp to do them justice. they just dont sound as well right off the headunit. |
Gold Member Username: CblazeRock island, Tenesssee Us Post Number: 1709 Registered: Sep-07 | if your running off the headunit u would just wanna do all 4 speakers.2 speakers in the front off a headunit will not be loud |
Silver Member Username: Pbplayer05Carroll, Iowa Post Number: 423 Registered: May-07 | well idk if i will beable to et the amp so should i just get 6x9s then or what |
Gold Member Username: CblazeRock island, Tenesssee Us Post Number: 1712 Registered: Sep-07 | i would just go with 6x9s |
Silver Member Username: Pbplayer05Carroll, Iowa Post Number: 424 Registered: May-07 | ok so what would a good set of 6x9s be then |
Gold Member Username: CblazeRock island, Tenesssee Us Post Number: 1713 Registered: Sep-07 | im not for sure just ask around on whats the best brand of coaxils to be on a headunit.i personally like the pioneer 3 ways.but 4 ways would be better if u like loud tweets |
